Theatre

This theatre appears on the 1911 Sanborn. It was located in the western half of a very old two-story brick building, which likely dates to around 1840, if not earlier. The 1905 map shows a confectionery located here.

The conversion to a theatre used the storefront as a lobby, and the wooden structure to the rear of the building was modified and enlarged to create an auditorium.

This theatre did not last long, and the 1927 map shows a store here. The building today is in decent shape and houses a ‘paint-your-own’ pottery business.
