This theater appears on the 1913 Sanborn, in a large one story brick building with a concrete block front. This was surely built as a theater, replacing an old wagon and blacksmith shop on the 1907 map.

Equipped with a large stage, this was a fine early cinema for a small town. It’s possible that this was the Star Theatre, which is listed in 1914-15, does not appear in 1926, but appears again in 1927 (with 400 seats). This disappears from listings in 1930. It may have become the Iowa, which is listed from 1931 on with 500 seats. That theater is listed as closed in 1938, and disappears thereafter.

In any case, no later maps are available online, but this building was demolished some time ago. The location is a parking lot.
