Traer Theater

This theater was opened in 1950, replacing a much older theater of the same name further west. The building is a blocky budget Moderne structure with a two story front section covered in formstone, and a one story shed in the rear for the auditorium.

This theater was closed in 1958 and sold to the Masons. The Traer name reverted to the older building at that time.

The building today is in pretty good shape, with the Masons occupying the old lobby, and a barber shop in the retail space on the right side. A cheap shed roof was added sometime after 2018, detracting from the Moderne look.
