Saku Am Cinema

The Saku Am Cinema opened its doors in December 1995 with three screens. More screens were added throughout the early-2000s until its eighth screen was added in the late-2000s, eventually becoming an eight-screener with 1,047 seats. What’s unique about this theater is that during the mid-2000’s, some of its auditoriums were video theaters which used a video projector projecting the screen from the ceiling rather than a projector in the booth.

Screen 7 is the largest with 227 seats and Screen 8 is the smallest with 77 seats. The rest have ranging capacities of 96-173. All of its auditoriums have Dolby Surround Sound except Screen 1 which had both Surround EX and SDDS sound.

The theater closed on September 20, 2023.
