Theater

This theater appears on the 1916 Sanborn. It was operating in the ground floor of a tin-clad wooden fraternal building. Two lots to the south was an airdome, presumably associated with this operation.

It’s unknown when this theater opened, or what it was called. It is not listed in the 1914-15 AMPD, and had apparently closed by 1926. The 1932 map shows the airdome replaced by a small wooden building which is still there today, at 122. The indoor theater had reverted to retail. That building was likewise demolished long ago, and is today a vacant lot just south of the hair salon.
