Opened as the Ideal Theatre. By 1943 it had been renamed Hollywood Theatre, when it was operated by the Welworth Theater Co. chain. Following closure for a remodel, it reopened on October 7, 1955 with James Stewart in “The Man from Laramie”. Welworth Theater Co. were still the operators in 1955.
