The Brock Theatre was opened on March 20, 1933 with Joe E. Brown in “You Said a Mouthful” & Joan Blondell in “Three on a Match”. It was renamed Gem Theatre in November 1955 and closed on November 30, 1957 with Donald O'Connor in “The Buster Keaton Story” & Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy in “Bonnie Scotland”.

By 2007 it was operating as a cafe named Lulu. By 2012, still operating as Lulu, it was a live music venue, which remains open in 2026.

Renamed the Gem Theatre in November 1955, closed two years later on November 30, 1957 with “Public Pidgeon No. 1”, “The Buster Keaton Story”, and the Laurel & Hardy classic “Bonnie Scotland”.
