TOHO Cinemas Kumamoto Sakura Machi

The TOHO Cinemas Kumamoto Sakura Machi located on the fourth floor of the Sakura Machi Kumamoto opened its doors on September 14, 2019 featuring nine screens and 1,578 seats (alongside 18 wheelchairs, two in each auditorium).

Screen 5 features the ‘TOHO Cinemas Premium Theater’ (AKA TCX) which was first adopted in Hibiya. Like other theaters where TOHO Cinemas has adopted its proprietary screen standard TCX alongside the GDC featuring DTS:X sound system making it a different specification from other theaters. Screen 9 features TOHO and Kumamoto Prefecture’s first ScreenX technology.

Screen 5 is also the largest with 341 seats, and Screen 1 is the smallest with 85 seats. The rest have ranging capacities of 94-267.
