Opened as a twin on August 11, 1971. On May 6, 1974 screen 1 was split in half, reopening on June 28, 1974. On April 27, 1981 screen 2 was split in half, reopening on June 11, 1981. It was closed on September 30, 1992.

These cinemas no longer stand, they were closed and renovated in the early 90’s. The building is currently a Circuit City.

On May 6 1974, Theater 1 was closed and split in half to form Theaters 1 and 3, making this cinema a triple. opening day was June 28, 1974.
On April 27 1981, Theater 2 closed and was split into theaters 2 and 4, with the cinema opening as a quad on June 11 1981
Originally a “General Cinema” Theater, It first advertised as a “Cinema World” Theater around December 21, 1988
The last advertisement i can find for this cinema is September 30, 1992.

My first viewing of “Star Wars” was at this theater. Drove all the way from the North Hills!
