Opened on 17th November 2000. This cinema has a appearance of a U.F.O. that touched down on its landing pod in Laval, this is the biggest cinema in Quebec. In May, 2002 Messina GSS sensory seats were installed in the biggest auditorium.

November 17th, 2000 grand opening ad (with StarCite) has been posted here.
This theatre should be renamed Cinéma Colossus Laval and now operated by Cineplex Entertainment LP since 2005.
With the retirement of the Colossus brand, and per signage, it was recently rebranded to Cinemas Cineplex Laval as of now. All Colossus/Coliseum brandings refered to as Cineplex Cinemas, while SilverCity is retained.
They’ve also started replacing some SilverCity brands, Yorkdale and Oakville have become Cineplex Cinemas as well as the Galaxy in Milton.

Does anyone know why this theatre didn’t open with an IMAX theatre? They totally could have made one in the same position as the other Colossus theatres. Guzzo wouldn’t have one until much later, so what’s the deal?
Imax was not doing well in 2000 so it was dropped.
This theatre opened with How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Le Grincheux), The 6th Day (Le Sixieme Jour), Bounce, Rugrats in Paris (Les Razmokets à Paris), WWF: Survivor Series, Red Planet, Under Suspicion, Little Nicky and The Legend of Bagger Vance.
