Update: Screen 3 may’ve closed earlier before Screens 1 and 2 closed on August 29, 1987.

Actual closing date is August 29, 1987. Screen 1 closed with “Crocodile Dundee” and “Top Gun” while Screen 2 closed with “Mannequin” and “Back To The Future”. Screen 3’s final attractions remain unconfirmed at this time.

It opened on July 10th, 1948 and closed on August 29th, 1987 to make way for the world’s largest cinema complex. Screens 2 & 3 opened on April 26th, 1978. Grand opening ad posted.

The Beltline Drive-In Theatre was overtaken by the adjacent Studio 28 Theatres which announced its closing on November 2008. See
