Mike…I use to listen to him when I traveled to Delaware. He used to be on saturday evenings around 7pm on 1210. always wondered what happen to him….now I know. Thanks
Jack..looking forward to seeing the photos of the Capitol and your write up.
Jack Ober..Where was your theater in Milton? I have been to the Campus in Lewisburg and to the Watson in Watsontown and the Ritz in Muncy.
lack of good movies…isn’t that the true…Although I did see Fred Claus..kinda liked that one.
Stopped by the West Shore this morning to check out the renovated marquee. What a terrible job!! Fred Bollen if you read Cinema Treasures or this post for your theater. Please tell me that the marquee job is not complete.
Justin, glad you understand. I enjoy reading your posts
Justin…Tell me what does Homeland Security have to do with movie theater safety?
Lost Memory…Seth took some really nice shots. Whenever I visit realatives I always take a ride past the Milford to see if anything has been done to her. I wonder if he got the chance to take any pictures of the auditorium?
Great pictures Hollywood
Would really like to see a picture of it.
The next to last operator of the Eden was AMC. It had been twinned.
James..OUTSTANDING…..your imagines of the lobby area are great. You really have capture Joe Musil artistic flare
Lysha…I was past the Ritz a few days ago. I thought I seen a realestate sign in the window. Is it for sale?
John S in York, I have several pictures of the exterior of the Senate. Two from the 40’s? and one from around 1988 or so. None of the interior.
Bryan, since you added this theater to cinema treasures. What is in the building now, or has it been demolished?
Elksprojectionist….I checked the website out….The pictures didn’t show. I did enjoy the history of the Elks. I am glad the new ownership is prospering. The former owner really turned me off…so much negativity. I like to see a single screen do well
James G, Yes Simon Overton is quite a character and by reading his emails is is a showman. The trait that Simon posses is something that is truly ABSENT in todays theatre onwers/managers. Looking forward to your pictures of the concession area/lobby of the Crest. I do have one picture of the concession area, and that was from a magazine article.
JaneD..John Messick here. I have never met Joe Musil, I do email a really good friend of his, Simon Overton. From what Simon tells me Joe is quite a guy. I am sure that you had a great time speaking with Joe and an equally great time at his Salon of Theatres.
Is there a website that we might be able to see those 24 photos?
Congrats on your purchase Longislandmovies. Do you have a picture(s) of the Terrace Theater that you can share with the folks on Cinema Treasures?
sounds like thats a great thought
It would be nice to see a picture and some information to along with your post
Lafayette theater, Suffern New York
RCDTJ..checkout the Lafayette theater.
Another way to make a buck, nothing wrong with that. I know of a theater in Carlisle Pennsylvania that rents to a church on Sunday mornings. Both church and theater are happy with the arrangements.
