Warner Brothers were so pleased with “Cain & Mabel” box-office results at the Regent that they took out a full page trade advertisement featuring Regent General Manager Stanley N. Wright. Wright was well versed in promotional tactics like this, having put ‘show’ into the business for many years. In 1933 he was instrumental in founding Australian Cinema Pioneers, a society he served in his later years as Hon. Secretary.
