Dress Circle Foyer.
Having bought their tickets, traversed a Stalls foyer of equal size with a similar but not identical decorative scheme, and climbed a flight of stairs, patrons encountered this fine space. Toilet facilities were located at the top of the stairs, the ladies' being beyond a luxurious powder room where some would tarry to touch up their make-up. At the far end they began the climb up the final staircase which wound its way around the inside of the semi-circular buttress which is such a striking feature of the theatre’s façade.
