The Westland is located on Main at East 5th Street. It was a large two story theatre done in red brick with a center panel down the middle above the marquee in a cream color. Pure Art Deco in design on the exterior.

The theatre had a large V shaped marquee with a large vertical with the theatre name in red and white. The marquee is still in use and the vertical is still there. The building now houses the Merrifield Office Supply Store.

it was closed when i visited in 2006. had been a funiture/junk store most recently had been part of the griffith/video chain

That's the place. I recommend the barber shop close to the theater if you're ever in Elk City. Fine haircut I got there.
