I am in the current owner of the Dallas Theatre, which I reopened seven months ago. This is a typical small town single screen theatre dating from 1927.

A photoplayer is being installed. The theatre was movies-only, no stage, no balcony.

Film Daily Yearbook;1941 & 1943 editions list two theatres in Dallastown, PA: Auditorium Theatre seating 350 and the Lyric Theatre seating 300. Which one of these was the current Dallas Theatre?

The 1950 edition of F.D.Y. lists the Dallas Theatre, Main Street, Dallastown, PA with 500 seats.

James;Best Wishes on the future of the Dallas Theatre, I wish you every success with this venture.

James, I'd be very interested in hearing from you if you have any box office ledgers or publicity materials relating to the theatre during the 1940s and 50s

James, I rode through Dallastown this past weekend. It's great to see the theater open again and it looks great. I want to come up some night and check out a movie. With all the theaters closing, this is a nice change of pace. Best Wishes, davidmarcel1@aol.com

Hi everyone,
my wife and I are the new owners of the Dallas Theatre,we bought it about 3 months ago
we added some vintage movie posters in the lobby as well as in the auditorium
we're now open 6 days a week (closed Thursdays) and show 1st run movies and we also show classic movies at midnight on weekends
we're trying to make this a fun and nostalgic theatre to bring family and friends to
we're hoping to buy a few more theatres in the future as well as build or buy a drive-in theatre or two as well
we'll be adding pictures of the Dallas here very soon
thanks for the interest in our little theatre
and God bless,
Bill and Tina Hunt

Do you have a website or some photos of the theater that you could post?
