Lyric Theatre, Minneapolis in 1914

Opened in 1885, the Lyric became a movie house in 1911 under the direction of Samuel ‘Roxy’ Rothafel, who remained there (on and off) until mid-1913 when he left for New York.

Ten years later, the original Lyric was converted into a recreation center and the Blue Mouse across the street was given its name.

There seem to be two adjacent Lyrics on this street, but no Lyceum. Any ideas?

This theatre opened in 1885 as the Hennepin and was quickly renamed the Harris. It then became the Lyceum only to be renamed the Lyric.
