Large cinema, very grand. Large auditorium and circle. In the early years, children had to queue outside on a Saturday morning in what was called the "tupenny crush". The building was later changed into a combined cinema and bowling alley. Bingo hall use followed, with a cafe in the circle area. The former Pavilion Cinema has recently been demolished.

The Pavilion Cinema opened on 28th November 1931. The architect was Harold Seymour Scott who designed a modern super cinema seating 2,250. It was equipped with a Christie theatre organ. In 1934 it was taken over by ABC Cinemas and by the early 1960's had been re-named ABC, Stirchley. A bowling alley was built alongside the cinema and it opened as a combined ABC Cine-Bowl in April 1963. The cinema was closed on 28th December 1968 and was converted into a bingo hall.
