The Luxor Opened in 1951 by L. Larocque. By about 1964 it was renamed Majestic, in 1979 it was renamed La Quebecoise 6, which closed in 1981.

From 1979-1981 ads for this theatre read La Quebecoise 6 when this theatre was showing adult films with live stage acts during intermission and ads for this theatre read Majestic when B-movies were shown during afternoon showings. The La Quebecoise circuit was the biggest adult cinema chain ever in Canada with up to six theatres in the Montreal area. All are gone…
