The Memphis Theatre opened as a movie theatre and remained serving Memphis, Missouri until 1997. In 1997 it became the home to the Memphis Community Players. It is located on the corner of E. Madison Street and N. Main Street in downtown Memphis.

It went through a renovation when the Community Players took over in 1997 and today it functions as a venue for live performances and movies.

According to this website, the current Memphis Theater was built in 1994. It replaced a prior Memphis Theater that burned down in 1992. A photo of this theater is also there.

This 1940 trade article describes the conversion of the Kinney Opera House into the Majestic Theatre, neither of which are listed at CT:Boxoffice
