Located at S. 20th Street and Mifflin Street. The Becker Theater was the first of 5 Becker Theatres operated by the Becker Brothers. It was remodeled from a former church building and was the first movie theatre south of Market Street. It was a short lived silent theater. It opened in 1904 and closed in 1906.

With 259 seats, this was the first of several theaters that the Becker Brothers would open in the East Passyunk-Pennsport neighborhoods of South Philadelphia. The Becker’s obtained their fame through the circus and carnivals.

The actuarial address for this theater was 1838 S. 20th Street (at Mifflin Street) — 19103. The theater was demolished and the site is now fenced in and is used as a park and play area.
