The Laurel Drive-In opened on June 16, 1966 and closed in 1984. This drive-in had a capacity for 800 cars and a 250-seat patio viewing area for walk-in customers.

The opening attractions were FRANKIE AND JOHNNY with Elvis Presley in its first-run engagement along with several other D.C. area theaters, and THE HALLELUJAH TRAIL which had already played in D.C. theaters in its second-run engagement.
