The Char-Bell opened in 1924, on Main Street in Rochester. The name comes from its first owners, Charles and Belle Krieghbaum. The 780-seat theater was constructed in an existing building that formerly housed an auto dealership. Originally, in addition to silent films, the theater hosted ocassional live events. The Char-Bell was renamed the Times in 1942 after it came under new ownership.
The theater closed in 1973, but reopened a year later under new owners. In 1979, the Times was twinned. In 1985, a fire caused damage to the theater. However, the Times was repaired and remodeled and once again reopened, and has remained open since, still showing movies.

I hope I understand this, but did Rochester have a Times theatre and a time theatre at the same time. I know that the Time Theatre looks all together different than the photos of the Times.
Disregard my comments, I was in the wrong state. I wanted Mn.

From 1915-1919 the Airdome Theatre was located on this site. 616-22 Main St. was the address for the Airdome.
