Annacrasto is a spam account that should be deleted (along with all of its comments) by the CT administrators. It has hit up about 45 theater pages here with the same exact message and link.

And what does that have to do with Cinema Treasures in general and the Pine Hollow in particular?

The 600-seat Pine Hollow Theatre was designed by architect Drew Eberson. The recently opened theater was the subject of an illustrated article in the Modern Theatre section of Boxoffice Magazine’s issue of March 4, 1963. The house was originally operated by Skouras Theatres.

I remenber the Oyster Bay Movie theatre. But, I have vivid memories of the “Pine Hollow Movie Theatre” (where the BMW dealership is now). I worked there foe several years and was also manager for a short time while I was going to school. Lots of great memories with friends there!!!!!!!!

I remember seeing “Carrie” here in late ‘76. During the last scene, everyone in the packed house screamed and jumped out of his/her seat, then laughed – we had all known a scare was coming, but were fooled anyway. That’s what makes the collective experience of movie-going so great.

In October, 1966, this was one of three UA theatres on Long Island offering exclusive “Reserved Seat Presentations”:
