I found a photo of the Garden Theater in Louisa, Kentucky on the web. (Click the link below for the photo). The movie on the marquee is “My Friend Irma” with Marie Wilson. IMDb dates this movie at 1949 so this theater was open around that year.

Listed in Film Daily Yearbook editions 1941 and 1943 as having a seating capacity of 300. In the 1950 edition of F.D.Y. seating is given as 328.
Here is a 1979 photo when the Garden was an auto parts store. Style looks to be art deco.

“he goods to be auctioned are from the old Garden Theater located in Louisa, Ky. The theater was recently sold and is being renovated. During the renovation, the ceiling of the old projection booth was taken down and a treasure was discovered. Movie memorabilia from the 1920s and 1930s fell into the arms of the contractors.”
I wonder what purpose it’s being renovated for.
