The Rivoli Theatre was opened on August 15, 1925. It was renamed Uptown Theatre on January 22, 1941, and closed in March 1955.

St. Joseph Memory Lane says that the Uptown Theatre was still called the Rivoli Theatre in 1934. The Uptown showed its last movie on Tuesday, March 1, 1955.
The Rivoli Theatre was listed in the 1927 Film Daily Yearbook.
Sorry the above date is in correct newspaper add says Grand Opening date was Wednesday 22January1941 the owner was Cassil’s say person who owned Rialto Theater
The Rivoli is listed as open as early as 1925 in the motion Picture Yearbook.
This building now houses Lehr Construction Company. Slope floor is still intact, as is some of the interior architecture and the basic elements of the front facade. Kudos to them for keeping the shell intact and in good shape, you never know what could happen in the future…
The Rivoli Theatre opened on August 15, 1925 with a Reproduco Expression Pipe Organ. The theatre relaunched on January 22, 1941 as the Uptown with the film, “Rhythm on the River.”
