The Showcase was built by Lippert Theatres as a single screen. A very small second screen—sorta’ve a screening room—was added over the lobby at a later date. The main auditorium had a curved screen and was designed in the “roadshow” tradition of the day.
Ironically, this building appears to be a Blockbuster Video now. The building looks new from the street, but it has the highest cielings I’ve ever seen in a Blockbuster and there is a portion of a rear wall that is brick painted to match the beige Dryvit exterior of the rest of the building

Ted Horton of Lawton architected the $500,000 theater, Lawton’s first since 1947, to be operated by the Tanscontinental Theatres Circuit. It was designed as a road show house with continental seating for 600, 70mm projection capability, and a 22x50' screen. “Funny Girl” opened the single screener on October 24, 1969.
