Located in Marcy, near Utica, NY. The Kallet Drive-In opened on June 27, 1947 with Betty Grable in “Diamond Horseshoe”. One famous attraction was a 14-foot statue at its front entrance with a waterfall that cascaded into a pool at its feet. Still known as the Kallet Drive-In in 1955, it was operated by Kallet Theatres. Later renamed Marcy Drive-In, according to a Utica newspaper article, the Marcy Drive-In closed in April of 1993. The Journal of Ogdensburg wrote that Don Mulligan of the Marcy taught Michael Dekin how to run the projectors over the course of a few weeks in 1983. Dekin now owns and operates the Valley Brook Drive-In near Lyons Falls.
