Northtown was a sister to Southtown. Together they were the first triplexes in Southeast Wisconsin. It is now run as a discount first run theater with all digital sound. It still has the three large cavernous auditoriums plus five newer stadium style spaces. It is posted as operating from 1976-present, but I had believed this was opened in 1966-7.

It opened in 1976. I was there the first day of operation. I saw a Disney film called “The Shaggy D.A.” the day the Northtown opened.
