These theatres were located at Northridge Mall on the north side of Milwaukee. The mall was a huge two level mall with four major anchor stores. The mall ended up having the same fate as the Mall of Memphis and totally closed in 2003. A small portion of the mall was demolished but most of the mall is still standing abandoned.

It closed July 31st 1997.

The last movie I saw there was “Scream” (1996) probably in January of 1997.

I remember going to that mall as a little kid when it first opened. I remember walking through the center of the mall a year before it closed and there was not another human in sight. I don’t even want to talk about it now…

I have several photos of the abandoned mall that I took on an UrbEx visit to Milwaukee in 2012. I saw several films there in the 1990’s, as my sister in law lived next door. The area has gone downhill a great deal, but my husband’s families synagogue is almost next door to the abandoned mall.
