Chuck: I would love to see a vintage photo of this theatre which might show the original marquee as the one in all of the above photos can’t be the original. And this theatre is only one of many contributed by LM on CT.
I forgot to add the info thata I found on this theatre. From 1935 thru 1950 it was operated by Stevenson Amusement Co., from 1950 thru 1955 it was operated by Sanford Theatres and from 1955 until closing as a movie theatre was operated by a partnership of Rosser, Stewart and Everett Theatres.
Patsy, Not only did LM lreasve his mark on this theate but thousands of others on CT. I still find myself looking for emails where LM has added a comment, but to no avail. His research techniques were unbelievavle. He never gave up on a certain theatre until he was satisfied there was nothing more available. He rarely entered a theatre without an address so someone else could do the research work for the sake of numbers. I miss him tremedously also. I miss his funny little remarks that seem to easily put a smile on ones face. He was and probably always ewill be the biggest contrubutor to CT.
A beautiful theatre exterior, but not sure what is going on with their marquee…is it or was it copper? BTW, it sure looks like former CT member, Lost Memory left his mark on this theatre link with his posts, exclusively! I, for one, miss him and wish he would return as he was a valued member!
Here is another 2009 photo.

The architect was Eric G. Flannagan. I think the Nation Register information spells Flannagan incorrectly.
