The Hyart Theater was opened in 1950 by Hyrum Bischoff, and is still owned and operated by the Bischoff family today. The 975-seat movie house on Main Street in Lovell stopped showing movies in 1992, but was still sporadically used for special events on its stage such as high school plays and concerts. In November of 2004, after a dozen-year break, the Hyart began to show movies again, with “Spiderman 2”, to a full house.
The Hyart Theater screens family-friendly movies, usually nothing over PG-13. The theater in November 2005 celebrated the one-year anniversary of the return of movies to the Hyart Theater with free screenings of the Martin Lawrence comedy, “Rebound”.

Being in this theater is like being inside a time capsule. The theater is all original…carpeting, seats, and all else except for conversion to xenon and platter. A very amazing place to see!
