The Towson Theatre opened on March 1, 1928. The architect was John Ahlers of the George Norbury MacKenzie III architectual firm. Cost of building the theatre was $100,000. After the theatre closed it was sold to the Recher family who turned it into an upscale billiard parlor. Today, the theatre, renamed the Recher, functions as a concert venue.

This theater is now called the Recher Theater. “The Recher family purchased the Towson Theater in 1959 and operated it as a single screen movie theater until it’s closing in 1992”. That info comes from the Recher Theater website which is here.
