Southern Theater

The Southern Theater was opened on September 29, 1935 with Dick Powell in “Gold Diggers of 1935”. The Southern Theater was listed as operating in 1957.

My grandfather took me to see “BAMBI” at the Southern theater when I was five years old – in 1943

I never was in it when it was a theater I don’t think, but in the middle 60’s it was a dance club. I saw Mike Finnegan and the Serfs there.
