Visitors to Macy’s since 1938 may have seen this commemorative plaque to the former Koster & Bial Music Hall that was razed to make room for Macy’s. The plaque is at right. At left is a picture from October 4, 1938 of Will Hays making the commemoration of the plaque. And the woman at the right – none other than Thomas Alva Edison’s daughter Madeline Edison Sloan.
