This theater was in the Coon Rapids Family Center Mall located on Coon Rapids Boulevard and Crooked Lake Boulevard in Coon Rapids, MN. It was most likely named the Owl because of the Red Owl grocery store that was also in that mall. These days, it is home to an indoor amusement park called Grand Slam. The Owl was short-lived in the mid-70s and most likely forgotten, but if not, feel free to post comments.

In the late ‘70s, the name of this theater was changed to RAPIDS CINEMA.

I just came across an advert for the Owl. Yes, it had a picture of an Owl. The date was 1 Dec 1973 and the advert stated that it was Coon Rapids newest theatre.
