The Grand Theatre opened in 1916 on Wells Avenue South between Second and Third streets. It was owned and operated by Frank and Marie Connelly at some point. I cannot find a closing date, but I can find information that says someone “rebuilt” it in 1922. I am not sure if that someone was the Connellys or someone after them. According to the City of Renton’s Web site, “In the years between 1916 and 1925, all the popular movies of the era were shown at the Grand”.

The Grand Theatre had a 2/4 Wicks-Robert Morton (Wicks opus #494) installed in 1924. Current status unknown.
