The Lyric Theatre was opened as a movie house at the beginning of the 1900s on the second floor of a retail building, which still stands. It was owned by a Mr. Kannaday, who moved to Winter Garden from Alabama. Several advertisements have been located showing that outdoor acts were sometimes booked by the management for the entertainment of the local populace. Later, a rooming house was operated in the same space. This area of the building is now vacant.

Nice to learn of this theatre that was once in Winter Garden FL besides the present day Garden Theatre!
