Opened as the Girard Palace in 1920. It was later called the Royal Palace and finally the Elite Theatre. The architect was Leroy Rothschild. The Elite Theatre seated 611. It closed in 1945 and was used for storage. It has since been demolished.

A Wurlitzer theater organ opus 1462 style “D” was installed in the Elite Theater on 9/28/1926.

The complete address is 2714-2718 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19130. The theater closed in 1945 and was used as a warehouse before being demolished. A one story building was built at 2714 W. Girard Ave. The remainder of the site is now surface parking.
