This small theater opened in 1946 and moved to its present location in Gackle, population 450, in 1948. The theater shows films on Saturday and Sunday nights from May to September.

Function should be movies. I’m not sure if they are first run.
The new Indiana Jones movie opened there today. Is it first run if the movie opens a month late?

Gackle is shrinking. I’m amazed that town of 290 (July 2006 estimate) manages to keep even a seasonal, part-time movie house running. But then, with a median household income of $27,500 and the median price of a house only $29,200 the residents of Gackle must have money to burn.
Joe, it might be because this is the only theatre in Logan County still operating.
