I think it is supposed to be “starlight”.

If seen it spelled both ways, that is what is confusing. Here is a page that has some pictures:

Here is an article about this drive-in. Opened in 1949. Location today would be County Road 46. You can see in one of the included photos that the spelling is “Starlight”.

The Starlight Drive-In was the work of the Minneapolis architectural firm of Liebenberg and Kaplan. The blueprints are in the collection of Liebenberg and Kaplan papers in the Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. The theater is listed in the papers as the Albert Lea Outdoor Theatre, but it appears to have opened as the Starlight Drive-In Theatre.

There should be an aka name of Starlight. This drive-in is listed in the 1975 IMPA as Starlight. In the 1980 IMPA it is listed as Starlite. Maybe the 1980 IMPA has the name spelled incorrectly.
