First National Bank, sorry…. (Drive through area) The tree(s) you see to the right of the drive through, are old enough that one was likely the one in the picture to the side of the Alamo Theater. So the Google link I have earlier showed the side of the theater, the front facing to the right.

Here’s a couple of small shots of the Alamo back in the day…

Stopped by today and spoke with an older lady at a shop, she said the Alamo was torn down long ago, and a First State Bank now sits in it’s place.

She pointed right at this spot.

In 1940 the Alamo Theater had 300 seats.

1937 was the general release date. I don’t know what date the Alamo Theater booked that movie. It could have been in 1937 or it could have been at a later date. You could research old newspaper ads to find out what date Heidi played at the Alamo.

Heidi, starring Shirley Temple was released in 1937. That should be the approximate date of the showbill that you have.

This is a vintage photo of Main St in Bellville, Texas. You can see the Alamo theater on the right side of the photo.
