The only information that I have found on the former Gauntier Theater so far is, it closed in the 1950’s and it was converted into a bowling alley.

If you have an additional information on this theater, please post it here.

The Gauntier Theater has gone from listings in the 1950 edition of Film Daily Yearbook.

I haven’t been able to verify this, but I read a story that claims that this theater was named after actress/screen writer Gene Gauntier (real name-Genevieve Liggett).

A Wurlitzer theater organ Opus 619 Style 109 was installed in this theater on 1/31/1923.

The Gauntier Theatre is listed in the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook seating 500. It shows an address of “Minn. Ave.” and it’s also misspelled in the FDY as “Guantier”.
