Tuesday, August 14, 2012. 26 hours before final demolition of the former Mann/Carmike Alameda Plaza Triplex. Here, if you look closely, you can make out the still-intact theatre interior as the exterior walls are torn away. Plush red velvet adorns the sidewalls, and half-cylindrical theatre lighting is just visible above the demolition fence. This was a beautiful theatre, and I will miss it greatly.
