The Almeda Plaza Triplex opened in the mid-1970’s. It was operated by Mann Theatres with seating at 732. Carmike Cinemas took over operations of the theatre in 1995. It closed in 2005 when the Pineridge 10 Cinemas opened.

My friend and I worked for Mann in this part of the state as projectionists. He was the first projectionist for this small tri-plex. I remember the opening night that December of 1976 (seat count is way off…each house held 220 seats..). I worked there on a part-time relief basis until 1979 when my friend left the Alameda for other ventures.. Bit of a fun working here..
