Sunset Drive-In

The Pocatello Drive-In was opened by 1948 when it was operated by the Tulles Brothers. By 1952 it had been renamed Sunset Drive-In with a 300 car capacity. It operated from May through September. The theatre was owned and operated by Mr. R. Morris and Westates Theatres.

The Sunset Drive-In was closed in 2008.

..and we must not forget the “Morris Bros.” other Drive-In in the city – the Starlite Drive-In .. where the PineRidge Mall is now located at on the old US-91 highway.

Starlite closed down after the 1979 season for the land to be sold for the development of the new mall.

THE SUNSET DRIVE IN held 250 cars in 1956 and was owned by The Tullis Brothers. THe other Drive in that town was the STAR LITE DRIVE IN and it was much larger holding 538 cars and was owned by T.M.Morris.

Above address does not map properly. Approx. location for this drive-in was S 5th Ave & W Puma Ln.

The ramps still exist and are overgrown but everything else has been demolished.
