It is most definately still a movie theatre, on 3/11 it was playing “Gran Torino” at 7:30pm
The bowling alley is just advertising this theater. I don’t consuder that to be a “connection”. Box Office Mojo also shows that a movie is currently playing at this theater. Obviously this is still a movie theater.

I think I solved this one. 2802 W. Towne Street is the address for Theatre Rose which is a live performance theater. The Rose movie theater is located at 215 N. Merrill Ave. Kind of confusing having two theaters with similar names in the same town.
Is the Rose theater mentioned on this website, the same as this Rose theater? The address is not the same.
