United Artists opened the Turtle Creek 9 in 2000. The theatre had a short life, closing in 2005 from damage sustained by Hurricane Katrina.

The Turtle Creek did reopen after Katrina under different owners but closed again in 2007.

The Turtle Creek actually opened in 1994 -October I think- when the mall opened. Saw TRUE LIES there for free when they opened the doors.
