This opened on December 14th, 1979. Grand opening ad in photo section.
Yeah,Judy should have gotten that picture we were all theatre family.some of us like me did move on to better theatre chains{GCC} lol.
I never even pretended to manage here. My husband was the manager! By the time these movies came out Judy might have been managing. You remember, you met her at the reunion — Cathy’s friend???
More movies, but I think Robin was no longer managing these screens.
Oct.15 1988 and the PROMENADE is a Dollar theatre playing: “MIDNIGHT RUN”,“HERO AND THE TERROR”,“HOT TO TROT” and “STEALING HOME”
Nick had been telling me we probably had Silent movie houses way before the Imperial was built. He was right.I bet Bill has never heard of those old classic movie theatres.
Didn
t even know about those...Ill check em out!Oh,Robin since you have been gone I have added four Silent movie theatres from Augusta on CT,under newest theatres.
Okay,we need to get Nick,NEXT.I have noticed a lot of Atlanta Theatres in the Newest theatres selection, might want to check them out.
Thanks tlsloews…and yes I think that is correct.
By the way a Best Buy store and a Geek Squad are listed at this address now, anybody know if this is correct?
Good to see you are back on C.T. Robin.
Robin needs to start paying notice to her Atlanta Theatres,Like I try and do for Georgia Square Cinemas.
Nice photo Robin.
Great picture Robin. Did you get any on the inside. We played “PORKY’S” at the triple here.Did great summer business. But i didn’t think it was that great.

Yeah,we always sorta looked down on it and Georgia theatres when my gang was working. We knew ABC THEATRES towered over the locals. {weis being out of Savannah}. I thought you guys played GREASE first run at National Hills.
No…never worked there. Only went to see movies there…Star Wars…Grease :)
TLSLOEWS wrote on the Weis Cinema Centre that he wants you and me to write about the WEIS.I know you didn’t work there?
okay,I am keeping it.I did find one article on a Tampa theatre that a friend in Tampa might want,so if you don’t care i will mail that to Nick. He’s an old theatre Dawg.thanks Robin.
Keep it all Mike…I know it’s in good hands:)
Robin,in that stack of material you gave me was PROMENADE stationary letter head.would you want it back just to keep.It was in Mint condition. If not you know i will take care of it. I also liked that list of things to do at opening, during the show work, and closing.Did your Mr.Anderson come up with all of that.He must have thought you all were stupid.like i said earlier,I would have lasted a week or so with him.
Well…that’s what I wanted to tell you. Robert passed away about four years ago. It was very sudden and unexpected. I would have liked to let you all know when it happened, but I had no idea how to contact any of you. He always thought so much of his Promenade crew.
Your husband
Hahaha…who is the bowler then???
