The Promenade Theatre was among the last theatres to open under the Plitt banner in the metro Atlanta area. The Promenade Theatre consisted of three identical auditoriums with relatively large screens, reddish orange decor and approximately equal seating capacity. Following a brief stint as second run venue during the 1980’s the Promenade Theatre was gutted and converted into an audio retailer.

Okay,we need to get Nick,NEXT.I have noticed a lot of Atlanta Theatres in the Newest theatres selection, might want to check them out.
Oh,Robin since you have been gone I have added four Silent movie theatres from Augusta on CT,under newest theatres.
Didn
t even know about those...Ill check em out!Nick had been telling me we probably had Silent movie houses way before the Imperial was built. He was right.I bet Bill has never heard of those old classic movie theatres.
Oct.15 1988 and the PROMENADE is a Dollar theatre playing: “MIDNIGHT RUN”,“HERO AND THE TERROR”,“HOT TO TROT” and “STEALING HOME”
More movies, but I think Robin was no longer managing these screens.
I never even pretended to manage here. My husband was the manager! By the time these movies came out Judy might have been managing. You remember, you met her at the reunion — Cathy’s friend???
Yeah,Judy should have gotten that picture we were all theatre family.some of us like me did move on to better theatre chains{GCC} lol.
This opened on December 14th, 1979. Grand opening ad in photo section.
